DAY 1
The first day started with an inaugural meeting, introducing each other and presenting our schools. Then, already divided into international groups, we started our research on individual cultures of bacteria in different types of water. In addition, we participated in integration games in English. After classes, we went to have a dinner. After that, together with groups from France and Finland, we visited our school. The last part of the first day was a visit at the local authorities in Starostwo Powiatowe where our guests were welcomed by the governor.
DAY 2 On Tuesday, the 8th of October, we visited Rudawa Sułowska village. We gathered in a conference room in the Educational and tourist centre Naturum, where we were taught about how to record and edit films about birds living at Milicz Ponds without disturbing their habitats. The whole group was equipped with binoculars and cameras, thanks to which we could observe and record birds. In mixed groups of 3-4 people (French-Finnish-Polish) we intensively worked, communicating in English. After that, our guide took us on a tour, during which he talked about various facts and curiosities of the ponds and the birds living in the area In the meantime, we were filming the whole place. When we finished the round, we went back to the conference room to edit the film. Another attraction was a bonfire with sausages. After eating and a short rest, we went to visit a small complex of Milicz Ponds. The guide showed us how to throw a net and then tried to teach this difficult art to a few teachers. Then we continued our sightseeing and the guide provided us with some more facts and curiosities. At the end of our tour we were shown a short movie about Milicz Ponds and then we returned to Oleśnica by bus.
DAY 3
On the 9th of October 2019, together with the Erasmus + group, we went to ecology classes at the field of Borowa Oleśnicka where the nature path is located. Our task was to obtain selected information on climatic conditions such as humidity, temperature or wind angle in the woods and its surroundings. We were divided into international groups. The groups consisted of about 5 people but all the groups helped each other. The whole trip lasted about 3 hours so when we got back, we had a dinner in the canteen of the Special Educational Center in Oleśnica. When we finished, we returned to our school where we read the results of our reaserch from day one. Afterwards, groups from France and Finland went sightseeing the castle of Oleśnica. It was the last attraction of the day.
DAY 4
We stared the fourth day of our exchange very early, at around 7 o'clock. Our destination was Karpacz town. The travel, which took us about 3 hours, was very enjoyable and it passed in a friendly atmosphere.
On the spot, we were welcomed by sunny weather that accompanied us on our walk through the forest to Samotnia shelter. On our way we also passed beautiful Wang temple.
Unfortunately, at some point of our hike it started to rain and we were forced to walk faster.
Despite this situation, we were still able to admire breathtaking views.
After a short break that we spent over some cups of hot tea waiting for the end of the rainfall, we moved to the ecological station "Storczyk" of Wroclaw University. There, after delicious dinner , we were carrying some experiments on water samples that we collected the previous days. We could learn about their features such as: concentration or hardness. We came back to our houses at 9 p.m. It was quite tiring but satisfying day.
DAYS 5/6
On Friday, we started the last official day of the Erasmus + project. At 9 a.m., we all met in the building of the Education Center in Oleśnica (PCEiK) to test our knowledge we gained during the whole project.
We also taught our colleagues from France and Finland some basic phrases in Polish language. At 11:30 we went to the gym, to participate the school meeting for the occasion of the National Education Day. After the ceremony, we returned to the PCEiK building once again to sum up our project.
Then, together with our partners from France, we went our homes to prepare for the party (Finns were preparing for the travel back home as they needed to leave early morning on Saturday).
At around 6p.m. we all met in pizza restaurant to have a dinner and fun together;).
On Saturday, the 6th day of our project, the Finnish group travelled back home. However, our friends from France spent the weekend at our homes experiencing our culture, traditions and hospitability. We are looking forward to the Finnish mobility next October.
